So, no thanks to Canon and no thanks to HP from an otherwise very pleased Canon and HP customer. customers who want to use this MG3550 printer as a "Google Print Ready" device on a HP ChromeBox. CANON MULTIFUNCTION PRINTER K10393 DRIVER INSTALLOnly by finally providing my home network IP address for the MG3550 and using a little known Canon install procedure that I found on the internet, did I manage to achieve what Canon should provide in a easy to use non-technical utility for. It took me two days to get it to finally work as a "Google Print Ready" device and exhausted every bit of technical knowledge that I had to achieve that. I bought it because it was described as "Google Print Ready" and I wanted it to use with my HP ChromeBox with its Google Chrome operating system. Installed like a dream (I'm on Windows 10) and everything works. With a Windows PC install, its brilliant. when its an absolutely excellent printer? Lets start with it "being excellent". Oh, another note it does not come with a Lan cable either. It was also a bargain with regards to price as well. If its for Windows or Apple or you want it for a tablet and/or phone then this will suffice. So if you are buying this just for your Chromebook then you might want to look at other printers. Instead you need to set up a link with Google Cloud and this is a Cloud Ready Printer but trying to connect it with the Google Print services is nigh on impossible. CANON MULTIFUNCTION PRINTER K10393 DRIVER SOFTWAREI bought this primarily because it claimed to be compatible with the HP Chromebook but you cannot actually install third party software onto your Chromebook. The second one is the hassle trying to get Google Cloud connection. It was a two pin plug and here in Britain we use three pin plugs and you would think that they would have known that! Luckily I have a plug with the correct plug for connecting to the printer at the other end so I was able to use it straightaway. First one was the plug that came with it. It works fine with my tablet via the Canon App. I like this Printer, the printouts are much better than my older printer that was getting on in years. CANON MULTIFUNCTION PRINTER K10393 DRIVER FULLI'm not sure how long the printer cartridges will last, they're not the cheapest (but compatible ones might be more cost effective) and that's why I've not given it a full 5 stars. Overall, I'm really pleased for the price. The printer and scanner functions are also straightforward. I printed a photo from my phone and made the mistake of not selecting the right size paper in the printer (A4 copy paper) but second time it worked great. The print quality isn't bad at all for home office use. I used the WPS button on my router and that was that!Ĭonnecting to the phone was easy too, I just downloaded a free app and it automatically found the printer. The CD it's supplied with has an easy walkthrough for the software and getting connected to wifi. It basically involved taking off orange stickers and plastic bits and plugging the printer in. There's a step-by-step diagram sheet and I followed that for the hardware set up. However, I was really pleased to be able to get it all up and running first time for my laptop AND phone without any issues at all. I'm not especially techie and have a layman's grasp of terminology. I was a bit reluctant ordering this printer, because from the other reviews I was worried I wouldn't be able to set it up properly.
